Raindrops on roses ??

This is the first rain we have had for nearly 3 weeks. It is just a light drizzle at the moment.

A few photos of some of our roses a few moments ago.

‘Duchess of Cornwall’

‘Champagne Moments’

Not sure of the name of the two above.
The pale pink one is a floribunda and has a strong scent.
The creamy white one is a hybrid tea and has no scent but very healthy glossy leaves.
If you can name either I would be grateful.

‘The Prince’s Trust’
This rose grows on a trellis near the kitchen door. It is covered in lovely non-scented flowers so we planted a honeysuckle next to it!

The newest rose in our garden ‘Korresia.’

The oldest rose in our garden. This rose was here when we moved in 35 years ago. No idea of its name.

For me 2016 seems to be ‘my’ year of the roses, I just love them and seem to have seen a lot so far. Rosemoor Gardens is at its best at the moment and there has been a lovely article in the RHS Garden magazine.

No need for umbrellas, the rain has stopped! Thank you for looking.

If I had to choose a favorite, it would be 'Duchess of Cornwall' but your whole collection is outstanding - something for every occasion.

The rain has been hammering down this afternoon and the garden has been loving it. The pond is full again. Your roses are gorgeous, Chris sorry I can't help with naming the ones you don't know, but who cares? A rose by any other name...

What a wonderful array of Roses you have, they are much further on than mine, If I had to choose one I think it would have to be the creamy white one followed by Champagne Moments, I only have one species in flower at the moment and that is the climber Golden Showers, my favourite rose is Peace : )

IT has been lovely to read your warm and encouraging comments, thank you very much for them.

So far the summer weather has been kind to them, lots of warm sunshine and gentle rain - I bet I have spoken too soon!!!
