The Queen’s Green Canopy

I picked up my free wild cherry tree, Prunus Avium’ as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative run by my local council in Shropshire on Thursday. It was promptly planted and am now waiting for the blossom to appear. Have logged my location on the website and am amazed to see how many people have participated! Unfortunately unable to upload any photo’s. Have any of you got a tree as well?

Wonderful, sadly I really have no more room Amsterdam, Burghley Park just outside our town has been nominated, I will double check how many trees but it is a lot, they are asking for volunteers to join them to help plant when the time is right, I thought if I went it would be my way of contributing, its a great place so would be no hardship.....

Unfortunately I believe the offer is now closed.it was run in conjunction with your local council. My council had 500 trees to give away.
