A Small Garden Transformation

Hi everyone, I’m a new member, but I thought I’d share with you all the transformation my mom and me made to her garden last year.

I don’t have a garden myself so take pleasure in looking after the small one my mom has.

It’s a small area, 10’ wide and 25’ long ( approximately) on a west/east axis. It’s a gravelled area, so all our gardening is confined to containers of various sizes, depths etc.

These are a few photos of before ( showing the rickety leaning old shed ! )…..

The first thing we did was get rid of the shed, believe it or not it hadn’t even been opened in around 6 years !

After the shed went then we were able to re-arrange what we already had, paint the fence posts and wall and erect a small greenhouse.

We already had some large metal containers so we got a few more ( mostly to contain specimen plants such as Acers, Salix and a dwarf Lilac ).

I then thought a miniature border would look good so I bought some washing baskets and lined them and then put wooden edging around them painted the same colour as the fence posts/wall.

Well done ! ( I have got neck ache twisting sideways to enjoy.) I like gravel as part of a garden, gives it character.

Thanks for the comments :)

Sorry Diane, I did notify the admin via the " comment us " button but I haven't heard anything back yet. I've only got a phone so I don't know
whether it's anything to do with that.
