Hi All , i just want to tell you about a little thing that started my day of very well, when i was walking my dogs, along a path in my local nature reserve, i saw a bird perched just above me, and could not work out what it was, until it flew, to my suprise i realised it was a kingfisher as the sun shone on its electric blue back, what a wonderful sight to start the day , and so unexpected away from a river.

There's been so little sunshine lately, that I bet it was even more magical when the sun shone so brightly on the blue of the kingfisher.

Welcome to GOY.
I'm looking forward to more of your blogs.

How lovely! Have you seen one before? I've only seen one once in my whole life and that was just after we retired down here to Somerset. It was such a thrill! Welcome to GOY - I hope you enjoy it.

I saw one once many years ago. I didn't realise what it was until it had gone. It just darted past, but a wonderful site. I bet the memory of it stayed with you all day long..
I hope you enjoy GOY. Beat wishes from Hywel.

It's a great moment when you see a different bird. Kingfishers are beautiful. I've seen them a few times but not for a long time.
