Lonicera x italicum Harlequin

Genus: Lonicera.

Species: Lonicera x italicum.

Bought Hopetoun GC 14 July 2013
Fabulously fragrant, tubular, pale pink-purple flowers with cream tips that are great for attracting wildlife to the garden. This is an attractive, deciduous climber with irregular, serrated, pale green leaves that are flushed with pink and have bold, creamy-yellow margins.

Vigorous and self-vining, it's easy to grow and makes a perfect climber for growing up a wall, arch, pergola or trellis. It's also suitable for using as a groundcover plant and helps to attract wildlife to the garden.

The foliage provides a perfect backdrop to the spectacular flowers before taking on brilliant shades of orange, red and yellow in the autumn.
