Clematis tangutica

Nodding, monk's-cap flowers, lemon-yellow, with central silver stamens, produced mid Summer to late Autumn, followed by silvery, shaggy seed heads. Foliage small, divided, light-green, turns yellow before falling. Height & spread 12ft x 12ft. Full sun to very light shade. Flowers on current season's growth. Yr.1: Cut back all stems to 12" in early Spring. From Yr. 2: In early Spring cut back all stems to around 30". Planted 4 of these in March 2013 to clothe back fence. First blooms appeared mid September 2013.
