Aronia prunifolia 'Viking' - Chokeberry

bought two of these as they are a bit different, and reading up on them, ideal for Scotland. The berries have tons of antioxidants and Vit.C, but are too bitter to eat raw. They are usually cooked or combined with other berries in puds.

5' high in 5 years, so ideal for large pots in 'grow my own corner'. Fruit in Sept/oct. Need neutral soil and full sun.

Water well until established. Trim in
Aye summer to control size and shape if necessary.
In later years, thin out a few old stems at the base to ease congestion.
