Progress of allotment ....

Just managed to get back over the allotment after not being able to get there as had flu virus and started new job.

Got thick black plastic from Covers, cheaper than online!
Covered majority of my plot dug and undug as have been told that if I cover the weeds, then roll back the plastic to where I want to carry on digging the weeds will be easier to dig.
Fingers crossed!

I’ve not put anything on the plum tree as everyone has advised me not to. Thank you everyone who replied.
Tree stump was sawed out via the exposed root’s we could dig up.
No chemicals 😊

When I took my plot on I thought the side of the plot looked odd.
It looks like the previous tenant might have extended their plot over the grass verge to increase plot size …….
Dilemma …. it is a good foot wider 3/4 of the way down and where my shed stands (it was already there).

Should I contact the local council to ask them?

Thank you x

I wouldn't bother. Just take advantage of the extra. You'll be told if anybody objects.

Sounds as if you have a lot on your plate at the moment, I hope you have recovered from the virus - they tend to hang on, without any real remedy, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Sounds as if you have a plan for the allotment to conquer the weeds and as Stera says you will son be told if there is an objection. As it was like that when you took it on I would have thought it would have been adjusted before re-letting.

I hope you've recovered from the flu now, and good luck in your new job.
I don't think you should contact anyone about the allotment. Let them contact you if they think it's a problem.

Hang on to the little extra. Can't see anyone quibbling about that.

Enjoy your new job.
