Thanks. We crop it every year after blooms are gone.. It is more like a tree now.

The owners planted it very close to the entrance when it was a small stick Anget (as I would do) and if we would leave it on its own we could not get in. My OH has to go on the roof to trim it.
Being evergreen, it also serves as birds condominium. lots of birds nest in there.

Must be Janey, it has practically no sun in the early spring because of our towering firs on the south but gets almost full sun later when the sun rises above them.
