Harkness, floribunda, 1982.
I thought this was an HT. It is tall and slender with fabulous scent. Prone to the dreaded blackspot in my garden. This is a cutting from my original plant which I discarded! Couldn't give it up completely! I'm a hopeless case!

Um, more than I have room for in the borders, Klahanie! I tried to count them when I was lying awake in the middle of the night a couple of days ago. I will keep falling for the large shrubby types.. I have my eye on a DA rose 'Buttercup' for the Autumn - that's bright yellow. I love yellow roses best, too. They generally have a good scent and they are so cheering.
How is the ghastly weather doing for you? You have been in my thoughts x

Thank you, Shirley. IF it wasn't for the 'spot' it would be perfect in every way!

Anget, I hope you will be able to get the 'Buttercup' . I googled and it is very nice and people seem to like it.
Our temperatures are back to mid 20's C but unfortunately I lost some of my plants (mainly in pots)...fried crisp.
Sadly, the little town in our province which recorded the highest temperatures on record burned down to ground in fast wildfire. What a horrible faith for these people. Most people escaped and saved their lives but everything else is gone.

It’s another beauty, Ange. Just as well you didn’t give up hope with this one!

Klahanie, I’m so sorry to hear how the heat/high temps have caused so much damage and obliterated a whole town..those poor folks. It’s just one big nightmare.
My thoughts are with you all out there. X

That's hard to hear, Klahanie. I hope these poor people are helped and able to resume their lives before too long.

They will rebuilt Anget, I am sure. Some have insurance and there will be lots of help available from municipal, provincial, and federal governments. (I hope). It was a weather fluke .
Absolutely beautiful morning here n Vancouver Island.
8AM and 18 deg. Perfect summer day is unrolling . We are going to visit our friends garden this afternoon and have a cup of coffee with them. Your day is now over and I hope you had a good one too.

It is beautiful rose Anget. I have a soft spot for yellow roses. I am glad you kept a cutting.
Now I wonder how many roses do you actually have? Looks like a lot. :-) If I could I would have a large old fashion rose garden.
We have big beautiful gardens in Victoria (The Butchart Gardens ) and I like to visit every late spring just to see their fabulous rose garden and in the fall to see their also fabulous dahlia garden.
