Can you believe the price of lemons these days????

Can you believe the price of lemons these days???? (Citrus limon (Lemon))

I saw this in that well known German supermarket on Friday, and just had to get it. Amazingly the giant lemon stayed on the tree all through the trip round the shop, the transfer into the car, the bumpy journey home and the transfer from the car up the steps into the house and up onto the shelf....I was worn out from carrying the weight of it but the tree looks very happy in it's new home. Not bad for £14.99.

Wow, you will need a large gin for that lemon, it's a whopper. Great plant.

What a bargain! I think I might know the particular supermarket in question. I hope you get lots more lemons to add to the G&T you'll be drinking sat in the garden on an evening this coming summer.

My other one has been in the greenhouse all winter. I've brought it down to the house today. There aren't many leaves on it, I do hope it rallies. I'm waiting for my daughter to come down so we can share the lemon in our G&Ts. :o)

3d Honey and lemon is our first port of call if we have a sore throat or cough.
