stauntonia hexaphylla

By Lil

stauntonia hexaphylla (stauntonia hexaphylla)

A great climber, slow to take off, but worth the wait! produces lovely looking edible insipid fruit in autumn. Lovely scent, a little tender, but survives frost here in a sheltered spot.

What an interesting bloom - what's the scent like?

light, but it blooms heavily so when you are under it, it's quite strong, hard to describe scent !!sorry !, we have it near an eating area so it's lovely in the spring.
