Tradescantia "Purple Sabre"

Tradescantia "Purple Sabre" (Tradescantia pallida)

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks now.
Not the best photo, but captures the colours and texture of the foliage well.
I thought that it was a bargain at £2.99 from a local independent nursery.

Meanie:

It should be blooming soon. They're all blooming around here now.

I would imagine that our night time temps may still be a little on the cool side to encourage flowering.....
It's putting on a lot of new growth since I put it into this pot too!

Meanie:

I don't think it needs warm temps to bloom. I saw it blooming already in the San Francisco Bay Area.

It's pretty widely grown as a ground cover here.
