The Garden Community for Garden Lovers

With just 4 tubs as I am disabled now.

I find ‘Avon Bulbs’ provide the gardening interest I need.
Many have been found in countries abroad. I bought the plastic mesh pots with my order. Each package contained extra growing instructions which I have written up in my gardening notebook, with a picture of the flower on each page.
Now realise if I plant each bulbs in bulb fibre in a plastic mesh container I can remove them easily when they have flowered and keep in a cool cupboard. Then plant summer flowering ones from the Spring catalogue in new containers and place in the tubs. Making a continuous all round display of unusual flowers.

That is brilliant as you can continue to enjoy your garden.

I love using bulbs for all year round colour. Don't forget to post photos as they bloom.

Its a great trick! There's nothing like a pot or two of flowers to keep you cheerful!
Just a tip though - if you are wanting to save them for another year best use potting compost rather than bulb fibre so they can build up their strength for it!

Nice one! I agree, it’s lovely you can still keep gardening this way.

Sounds good to me, I change my displays around each season, always nice to have a bit of colour to admire, so much to choose from, enjoy them is what I say....
