End of April in the garden..

Hasn’t it been the best blossom laden spring for a long, long time. All the fruit trees are flowering their socks off. It really makes the heart sing to look out and see the bright white, pink and purple shrubs and trees.
Crab Apple ‘Gorgeous’ living up to its name.

Crab Apple Cheales Weeping…liking its new home in the slope lawn.

The dwarf rooted apple tree by the greenhouse never fails to provide enough eating apples to supply the whole family until the last few picked for toffee apples in November…

I love this Spirea Bridal Wreath. It’s white blossom really shines out like a beacon in the corner of the sloped lawn.

Molly the witch is looking promising. I hope the flowers will last a bit longer this time. I bet it will rain as soon as the flowers open up.!!

This shrub got blown down earlier in the year and we had to force it back upright and stake it. It’s the biggest wonder it survived. I can’t remember what it is called for the moment, it’s looking really good though. Please excuse the washing line.

This yellow flowering bush brightens up this area under the Copper Beech. Next to is the Tree Peony which came up as a complete surprise last year.!!

Sun dance has a few flowers on this year, it very rarely flowers in my garden.

Last but not least the Daphne is bursting out all over….

What a fantastic show we are having this spring. You can’t help but feel happy whilst you are gardening amongst all this beauty.

Lots of pretty blossom, Sheila! Your sundance is pretty impressive! Your Daphne is looking attractive cascading over the edging - bet the scent is lovely as you walk past!

Wonderful Crabapples Hb, I planted one last year, 'Evereste', so it's very small but produced some gorgeous blossom. I've said it loads of time before, but Spring is definitely my favourite season ... :o)

Thank you all so much for popping in and for your lovely comments.
Sbg, thankyou, it’s been the best ever year for early blossom and luckily no hard frost to spoil it.

Shirley, Evereste is such a great choice. Four seasons of interest. I couldn’t find one when I was looking and ended up buying the Weeping Cheales one.

Kate there isn’t much scent to the Daphne but the Sundance has a super powerful scent to make up for it. 😊
