The Garden Community for Garden Lovers

right in front of you

After looking through Marguerites photos, it struck me that I had seen similar landscapes, where? Home!
It got me wondering why I hadnt given it thought before, I dream of visiting the most beautiful gardens in the world.
I have one pretty much on my door step, well about an hours drive anyway.
The Brecon Beacons!!!
I went hiking and camping there when I was a child, The waterfall there is spectacular. You can walk behind it.
So now we are fast approaching school hols, its time to return to nature, im sure my kids will love it after they finished moaning about the long walk.
I will be sure to add the piccies

It's easy to forget how beautiful the natural scenery can be. I hope you have a great trip! As kids we used to moan about the long walks too - normally in the lake district. I love walking and the hills now :o)

When I was a young teenager, we went on holiday to a Methodist Guest House in Wales which organised guided walks. I went with the group (mostly older than me) and guess where one walk went? Up Snowdon! It nearly did for me - but some lovely older ones in the group saw that I was in difficulties and hauled me ever upwards - what a thrill to reach the top and 'the view'! I can with truth say that I climbed Snowdon - and it was worth it. Pity I didn't have any sort of camera at that time!
