Bee Conservation

Found this last night and thought you might like it. It’s something to do when you’re stuck in and it’s raining! If you go to http://bumblebeeconservation.org/ you can check out how ‘bee friendly’ your garden is, and they give you suggestions of other plants to add to your garden to help the bees. I scored quite highly, was very pleased with myself! lol :D

Will give that a go - it's raining, again. Thanks.

lol I've been trying some repotting today: managed two so far, having to keep coming in again - don't mind a shower, but I don't see the point of standing out in a downpour!

Thanks for that.....I think the bees adore my garden. Having thought about pulling up the tall buttercups, I noticed a bee...and didn't have the heart to pull it up!

Thanks karen will go check it out .....we have mason bees or some type of bumble bee 'nesting'under the eaves of our house hubby checked the attic and they are not inside so we will just let them get on with it..........we often just sit and watch weather permitting of course ....ours is a stone built bungalow with really thick walls so I reckon that there is room enough for the both of us :o))

Glad you all enjoyed...just a bit of fun really, although there is serious science behind it, and we all can do our bit! As you know, I've planted some wildflowers this year, so I feel I am definitely improving on the conservation front! :D

On a blog I listed packs of seeds I was giving away - I'd bought miles too many for the space I have,
I thought that the "bee-friendly" and "butterfly-friendly" packs would be the first to go, but they're still up for grabs - if anyone wants them, or any other pack that's still going spare, PM me your address and which seeds you'd like, and I'll whizz 'em off to you
I've still got:
Ageratum - Alyssum - Bee mix - Butterfly mix - Calendula - Cornflower - Eschscholzia - Godetia 1 - Godetia 2 - Laurentia - Lobelia - Lobelia 3-pk - mixed annuals - Papaver - Salvia - Simplicity
