Icey Greenway walk.

The sky this morning was a spectacular blue ….sun was out and underfoot was quite tricky. Thankfully the Greenway paths are all gravelled.
The first 2 photos show the London to Cardiff main rail line. We were standing on the bridge to take them.
Along the walk we noticed the long line of frozen Verbascums looking very ghostly.
The following photos show the cloud formations.
Back home for a warming cup of coffee. Sadly there is nowhere to pop into on the walk.
Forgot to show this one!

wonderful photos. Bitterly cold here. Hope you stayed warm and upright on your walk. Love bright cold days like this especially when properly wrapped up.

I much prefer a cold but bright winters’ day instead of a mild, grey wet & windy day! Beautiful pictures and great way to get some fresh air.

You do take some lovely walks Julia, I really miss my sister for that as Cathy would walk for miles in any weather, I'm not allowed to wander off on my own so walking is out for me at this time of the year, mind you at the moment I'm quite relieved as I'd probably end up on the floor, lol....

That's a shame Lincs...the walk that day was very uplifting but yesterday completely different..dull,snowy day...far too icey under foot so we turned tail and headed for the Hanley's farmer's shop for a coffee. If we had fallen, goodness knows how long the ambulance would take to come.

I know exactly what you mean M'land, its not worth the risk is it, no fun in getting old is there, I trip up enough during the summer so dare not chance it at the moment, hubby cannot take the cold at all, he cannot walk far no matter what time of the year it is, I bought him a mobility scooter to use for spring and summer months....
