Comparisons between then and now

So I thought I’d do a self-reminder post about how much things change in just a few months. I suspect I will be needed the encouragement come next Spring. You see, I’m a final year university student on top of doing the school garden project and being a mum full-time. I reckon next year I will need all the encouragement I can get!

In the meantime, I was rooting through my pics and realised some pics were taken at similar angles months apart.

The first day’s dig. Seems most of my saturdays have been taken up and I wouldnt have it any other way.

Facing the back of the schoolyard. The plot is actually quite long and narrow and has a patio area behind the polytunnel. I’m considering putting potted dwarf fruit trees on the patio next year. We shall see how that turns out.

A view from the back of the schoolyard. I must remember to choose a standard place to take pictures from. The last one is a view from the back on the opposite side.

That all looks so tidy & professional mebennet...really nice for the kids to garden in. Good for deserve much credit for doing all that. If it wasn't for people like you giving up their time these things wouldn't happen for the children.

You'll get lots of encouragement on here!!

Fluff: I've noticed. People have really been very positive on here. I must admit, its nice to hear. If I'm perfectly honest, I dont think that many people outside those paying for it care much about what I've done. Dont get me wrong, everyone is pleased with the result and the school love showing it off. They just cant be bothered to lift a finger to do anything...teachers or parents. The politics are more of a struggle than I'd anticipated more often than I'd like to admit. I'm hoping next year, I will have gained enough experience to deal with said politics better.

That's a shame...but you can't do everything yourself...maybe get the kids involved in nagging their parents & teachers! I know it's difficult...I ran a mum & toddler group when my 2 were little... everyone was happy to come & sit & chat etc but to get anyone to take responsibility for even little things was an uphill struggle. I do sympathise.
