Thanks Bernie. I really can't get enough of this bed. Even better now the lig is blooming.

Have to agree - this bed is looking great. Some great choices here.

The best fact is that most will come back year after year! :-)

This is a variety I like to have, mine has yellow daisy type blooms. Love the way this one blooms up the stalk.

I thought they all had these stalkes FC, that is good to know. There is one place, I'll have to go get a photo, that has a bed all along one wall, they are all six or seven feet tall. Its a real sight!

I have the variety Ligularia dentata 'Britt-Marie Crawford' . It looks great for me until the dog days of summer hit. I would post a pic of it but the drought and humidity have it looking alittle poorly at the moment. They aren't the happiest plant to have in the garden in our area but I just had to have one

I don't blame you. :-) I get great results with our temps staying low at night and usually plenty of moisture. Dentata has lobed leaves doesn't it? Really nice shape.

What else?

See who else is growing Ligularia stenocephala.

See who else has plants in genus Ligularia.
