We have this positioned near the bedroom window & get sparrows diving in, they make a distinctive "plop" & a blackbird who has a real good wash & shake afterwards

Well ours are a bit shy soon as they sense you there they have gone, When Im on the pc I can hear & usually guess who it is by the noise.......oh Milky have a look at my ornamental cabbage pic theres a little hedgehog that has a look maybe he's related to your squirrel planter :-)
