This is the commonest Pritchardia species grown in California. It is native to the Island of Molokaʻi, Hawaii. Photo taken in the Botanical Building, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Feb. 23, 2010.

The Pritchardia palms of Hawaii are almost all endangered, unfortunately! However, they are commonly available here at palm nurseries. It may be a little difficult to find where you live...let me know if you see this palm for sale...or any Pritchardia species for sale where you live. I'm curious. : >)
