31. Kniphofia Uvaria (Red Hot Pokers) (Kniphofia Uvaria)

Summer 2008 These came from what had been my husbands Grandmothers garden from the late 1800s to 1945. They need to be split, roots cut back and replanted every three years. I cut them back and tie them up each autumn to protect the growing tips. See photo 30 for the winter look.

I've never seen Red Hot Pokers look so lovely. It's a great way to plant them 4 best display.
