Good idea, Treesandthings...
Have you tried to make the branches go horizontal ?
Is that the way you hope for more flowers ?
This rose trellis is a good idea for screening.

Horizontal and downwards, they then produce more shoots which in turn will produce more flowers lower down rather than letting them all grow way up high.

I've tried weaving across, but I'll have a try at weaving downwards as well !
