A small alpine plant that caught my eye yesterday. Just got to find a good spot for it now.......

Is it perennial then - result!

yes it's perennial :-)), but it doesn't like wet feet in winter likes good free draining ground.

Free draining is easy for me - I have lots of raised beds as the soil is clay sadly.

Thanks Tetrarch.
Cinders - how old was yours? I may put this in a pot if it's tenderish....

Meanie, it was only a couple of years old, and I had it in a large shallow pot, with grit on the top. I had two the first year, and only one came up last year. This year nothing so far, and no sign of anything when I had a good poke around. I had it outdoors in the summer and gave it a little bit of shelter for the winter in my plastic greenhouse, but think it has gone.

What else?

See who else is growing Rhodohypoxis baurii (Red star).

See who else has plants in genus Rhodohypoxis.
