This tree is still very small. This is the first time it has flowered.

I think this photo answered my earlier question. I guess the Jacarandas bloom the same time there as they bloom here.

They bloom twice over here, once at the end of April to May and a lesser bloom in July during rains

Thanks for the information! :>)

They bloom a little differently here in San Diego....they have their big bloom in Spring and then a lighter bloom at the end of summer or early Fall.

What a shame to Jakaranda has not bloomed yet.

How old is your tree? Typically, Jacaranda trees bloom very young (2 years) from seed. Of course, we have millions of trees here. It's one of the most widely planted and beloved trees in San Diego.

What else?

See who else is growing Jacaranda mimosifolia (Brazil Rosewood).

See who else has plants in genus Jacaranda.
