Swallow Tailed Butterfly

Beautiful Butterfly happily collecting nectar from our Buddleia...missing half of his swallow tail...but doesn't seem anyworse the wear for it...

Thanks Pix...I still would like to get it closer, but maybe its my photgraphy, that needs to improve lol...I'll keep trying...
I watched him for ages, and the fact that he'd lost half his tail didn't seem to bother him, in fact he didn't look damaged at all, so he could have been born like it....

I can understand the appeal of showing your pics like this Crissue, but I have to say I find it hard to look at, and they are very small....fantastic butterfly though, and you did really well to get so many shots of it!

Hi KarenS...There was chance to get so many shots of it...but I totally agree I would love to have shown the Butterfly as I was seing it...but the pics are small...:(((

They're stunning Meadowland...it's the first visit by this particular Butterfly to our garden...but we've enjoyed lots of others too...glad you like it...:o)))
