By Kasy

Pieris 'Confused' (Pieris japonica (Lily of the valley bush))

well - the real name is 'Forest Flame'. It is the end of the growing season - and look at this - so much of new growth.

i find they seem to have this new growth all different times of year ~ i have several of these, generally brightest in spring but sometimes other seasons? i love them.

I did few cuttings of the broken branch (variegated, not this one - was too small). Kept it in my (oh, sorry Stevie - lent) propagator but everything was blown on the floor when we had this 'breaths' of Catarina in Wales. So just few survived I am affraid...

Mine is the same,Kasy..and covered in what seem to be the flower heads too...The other one, which is the same variety is still just green leaves ! Must be the different positions they are in..The green leaved one, faces west, and the other one faces north...

What else?

See who else is growing Pieris japonica (Lily of the valley bush).

See who else has plants in genus Pieris.
