Oliveoil, I'm tempted to plant it up ... but there are no drainage holes!

great watering can, lucky you, love it :o)

It is too pristine to start drilling holes in it. I would use it and leave it out to weather and then you will not feel guilty about drilling holes in the base of it, or you could just put a load of broken crockery in the bottom for the water to drain into and then your compost etc and plant up with something which quite likes a wet base. It is a lovely can.

Thanks, San, I must have been in the right place at the right time for a change! :o) . . . . .

Oliveoil, on second thoughts, I shall use it for watering only ... you're right .. it is a lovely can! ... :o)))

You sure did well there Shirley.I have put crocks in mine in the past and trailing lobelia in the summer looks nice, but I also think it would look just as nice as a feature in the flower beds on its own.

Posh, innit, Motty! .....

Bloomer, I used the hosepipe today to water in lots of Wallflowers ... thought the water pressure was low ... that would be where the hose had come partway out of the reel and the water was running down the side path ... :o(((

you plonker! It took a long time then? :o)

15 Oct, 2011

Ha ha, it took even longer to sweep the water away ... :o(((
