Paul, I am constantly surprised at what is still flowering ... even though many blooms are over on the shrub ... very strange!

Yes I know - my bowles mauve is till flowering and only very slightly dying off - crazy month - got to be in weather records for constant mild temps, it was warm on Wednesday

I mowed the lawns for Mum and I yesterday ... a bit damp in the North facing back garden but dry in the front ... even took my gardening fleece jacket off ... more like Spring temps. ... I'm not complaining though! . . . . .

I have always liked this shrub,Shirley, and luckily my neighbour has it ,between our gardens,so I get the benefit as well..I have only had the smaller variety.'Elstead' which has the lovely berries that change colour, but it was so prone to rust,I got rid of it..shame..

Lulu ... a trip to Specsavers for you methinks! ... Mind you, there are some leaves of Daffs appearing . . . . .

That is a shame, Sandra ... sometimes you just have to be ruthless though! ... Big problems here today ... I'll just say 'drain rodding' is in progress ... yuk! . . . . .
