Thank you Clarice,GF and Yorkshire.....the pond is approx 5x10 feet.Over the years it has been changed so many times.Wish it was deeper,though.The ground below is full of rock!

Ours has just had several ( effective ) additions of something to clear it , the fish seem fine and the black birds are feeding on the tadpoles and small frogs .

K! I was doing a handstand and held the camera between my feet!!!!.......No tree lopping today.......what did you use to clear it,Driad?

...you put it in a watering can and sprinkle the surface. All the algae rises and dies without residue, and without harming anything in the pond. :)

The product OH used he got off the internet , it was called Green Away by a company called Blagdon .
