We've had a couple here today, I love their markings, very striking birds.

Two here today as well ~ I love them ~ but do you think i could get a photo? not a chance! I have some of an empty bird table though!

I haven't seen one for ages , a good photo well caught Ph !

Stick at it :o) hopefully with the cold weather they will keep coming back.

Thanks all, we have a wood on 2 sides so we get quite a few woodland birds, in cold weather some more infrequent visitors like Goldcrests, Blackcaps and siskins, but I think these and woodpeckers are still my faves :o)

Lovley,P.......yesterday a blackcap visited for the first time.....I felt i'd won the lottery....LOL

Thats great, Blackcaps used to be only summer visitors although ours still fly south for the winter others fly from the east to overwinter here :o)))
