Really heavy downpour this morning, with thunder and lightening as forecast. Spot the woodpecker .. !

it down poured here as well, i sat under shelter to watch and listen to the rain and was amazed how chirpy the birds were!

I was going to ask what the yellow tree was, now I know. Don't they look lovely at the bottom of your garden. I see Woodie too. Aren't they lovely birds. It amazes me that the blackbirds come to bathe in the pond while it's throwing it down with rain.

Thank you Carole, Jane, Angie and Homebird ...... It has been a pleasant evening here, after this mornings storms. Hoping for a nice day here tomorrow, as a lot to do in the garden.

Homebird, I believe the yellow tree is a Gladitsia triacanthos "Sunburst". It has been in the ground 17 years now and was about 1 metre tall when originally planted.
