Polystichum polyblepharum..

Polystichum polyblepharum.. (Polystichum polyblepharum)

a useful little fern....

It's a pretty little fern. It kind of reminds of Silver Lady Fern (Blechnum gibbum), which is commonly grown here in shade.

We do grow some of the Blechnum varieties....

Blechnum has some beautiful species. I wouldn't think you could grow the Blechnum gibbum outdoors there (all year), though. It's pretty tropical. Its other common name is Fuji dwarf tree fern.

I will check it out!!

If you can grow it outside in your climate it's a primo fern to grow. It's a very commonly grown dwarf tree fern grown here in San Diego and most of low-elevations of California, as long as it gets enough water and in shade.
