SOme more treasures dug up from the garden of the lodge house down the road when we lived there.

Some nice pieces Linda ,we have a few blue & white they would look good set in a kind of mosaic pattern in the path ...

Some of the blue and white is nineteenth century. One piece of brown pottery dates back to 1760 so someone at the Lodge after 1795 must have broken it and dumped it.

When we were children in a village I remember a pit in the corner of a field where the village people use to dump any old stuff they didn't want anymore crockery bottles etc. the last time we passed that way it had been covered with soil ,I wonder what they would find if they dug it all up now ?

There is a dump near here in a copse that has been a dig site in the past.
