Weigela middendorffiana (close-up) - 2016 (Weigela middendorffiana)

Shrub to five feet for a position in sun or part shade. Although hardy, it prefers a sheltered spot away from cold winds and protected from late frosts.

Interesting to see you have this shrub,Andrew......A few years ago I rescued this from a very overgrown corner of the garden.......Was able to move it to another bed, facing east, but sheltered.......hasn't done terribly well.....does flower.Do you feed yours?

It gets a light feed of chicken manure in the spring but that is all. Mine faces west.
