Crab Apple Tree (for Homebird) (Malus sylvestris)

The Crab Apple Tree on the grass verge out side our property, loaded as usually with fruit, over 40 years old.

Love to see a mature Crab apple tree. I saw a lovely one this spring...all blossom and bulbs underneath it. Looked so romantic and pretty but it was nowhere near as big as this one!

Bit of a nuisance, squashy fruit all over the pavement.

I take it that when they fall off the tree they are ripe? Of what's do they taste? I might get the step ladder out and pick some. I am sure there a receipts on the Webb.

Thank you Hb, my mother's old receipt book gives a receipt for Crab Apple Jelly with cinnamon added and loads on the Webb.

What else?

See who else is growing Malus sylvestris.

See who else has plants in genus Malus.
