If the landowner gets his way, this will soon be houses. :(

Oh dear no, that would be a disaster!

I do so enjoy the fields changing seasons. Hope they don't build on all of it Karen.

No, not all of it Sandra, just right along the field edge and the rest of it will be Golf Course. But this has been approved for about 5 years now, and nothing has happened so far. I believe the Hotel has to be built first, it would be out of view of our house, just over the hill. But as most of the hotels and golf courses around here are struggling to survive, I doubt that many people would be stupid enough to invest in such a venture, especially with Brexit hanging over us. But you never know. Just to the right of the photo is the quarry, which is in use all the time for cement recycling, dumping of aggregate etc., and its also where the gritters and the salt is for Angus roads. Would you spend upwards of half a million to live beside that? Lit all night long and the noise? I wouldn't! We'll see.

Sometimes these sort of things take many years, if at all.
After we moved here, a huge development took place not in our view thankfully, which went on for years,it was the noise of the pile driving used to shake our house, all in all we had 1063 houses built, was so thankful when they finally walked away.....
We turned down the chance to live in France, because they were going to build up the road from the property...only a small development....but we couldn't face the noise..we went back a few years later to see how the development was going, only one house had been finished, we wish we had taken the chance now....

Let's hope they don't build Karen, and spoil that lovely view. As you say nothing has happened so far, so that's got to look good.
