I picked two nanners.

By Stan510

I picked two nanners.

If they ripen and taste bland then, wait for the rest. If they turn sweet,I'll cut the bunch.
Little things.

Its now Feb 1st..and the both I cut are still green and hard. Not looking good. Its a good thing I didn't cut the whole bunch.
One more..not turning ripe..but those two don't look any worse either.
I'm not sure what to make of it all.

That's a long time for it not to turn yellow. Usually, when picked it takes 3 or 4 days to ripen.

Banana skins next to unripe tomatoes are said to aid ripening...maybe a peeled banana skin next to them might help....

Actually, if you put bananas in a paper bag it does the same thing. It's the ethylene gas from the bananas which help fruit ripen faster.
