Aquilegia buergeriana var oxysepala - 2017 (Aquilegia buergeriana)

Specie aquilegia which comes true from seed as long as there are no others in the immediate vicinity. Weed out any rogue plants as soon as they come into flower.

Very nice. They can be rather promiscuous though.

For 'rather' read 'very!' I try to grow each species in a different part of the garden so there is less chance of cross pollination.

I don't think it would work in my garden I have them growing in every area but then I like to see them dotted about amongst other plants ,obviously its not ideal for something as special as this ...

What else?

See who else is growing Aquilegia buergeriana.

See who else has plants in genus Aquilegia.
