Argyrocistus battandieri (Pineapple Broom)

Argyrocistus battandieri (Pineapple Broom)

One of my favourite shrubs for summer flowers. Plumes of pineapple-scented flowers are held right along the branches among the silver-green leaves. Semi-evergreen and standing up well in our windy position with a good stake. If you want to prune it, do it immediately after flowering, but best avoided if you want lots of flowers. I've never seen one looking this lovely before. :) But that goes for all my garden this year. Absolutely everything has been at its best so far this year.

A beautiful tree, never got around to buying one, although they do well at the coast.....the new area might be ideal for a tree like this...it is looking good in your garden, so a happy tree!!

I planted one two years ago against a trellis. The first year it did practically nothing, this year it has been covered in flowers.
