in the Autumn I took a risk and moved all my small Acers in to this area so they are now all together. This is the most sheltered spot in the garden and also has a bit of shade, so it was a gamble worth taking I think. Happily, they have all survived and are all looking really happy in their new positions. Sheltering them from above is the lovely Acer palmatum atropurpureum that was here when we came. I have added the Coral Bark Maple (Sango Kaku) and the smaller ones are 'Osakasuki', 'Orange Dream', A.shirasawanum 'Jordan' and a very finely dissected green one that came from a supermarket and doesn't have a name.

They do need shelter from the strong winds, a good idea, they look to have settled in well..

Yes, this is the best spot for them. Thank you!

Lovely area, good idea too Karen. Love the grouping, colours are rich and warm. Love the Adirondack chair, similar to mine. Comfortable for meditation :)

That’s lovely Karen - so glad they have settled in. Well, we both obviously have good taste as I have exactly the same selection! My shirasawanum is tiny though, but Osakasuki is the favourite :)
