Salvia 'Caradonna'

Salvia 'Caradonna'

A newbie. I have given up on the shrubby ones. Beautiful though they are, the winds here destroy them. So now I'm back with the herbaceous kind. Will see how it goes. This one was expensive, but it's a mature plant. The stems are black and the effect is quite dark, but very attractive.

I've planted this in my front garden prairie as it flowers over a long period

Among the roses here Andrew. Hopefully they will give it shelter.

Planted last year.....no sign of it, had to move it when we changed the border, shame ....a super plant!!

I do hope it comes back. It was pricey. The soil there is light and free draining, so that’s a bonus.

Our soil could have been too heavy?

I would think possibly yes.
