Thanks Julia. The old door I'm glad to say. All we needed to do was remove the aluminium trim and the silvery letterbox and handle and replace with black. It looks soooo much better now. We did try to get a new door, but ours is too small and they won't make one the right size for us out of the material they use for doors now. Its wood or nothing for us, and the door is really quite good, so it worked out great in the end. :)

Oh,I see....anyway, it does look good...so you did the right thing and saved some money,I'm sure...I can remember what we had to pay.

Rachel's was about £1500 I think. So yes, saved a lot of money there! :) And Scott was right, it's a fine door. But it definitely needed some altering. I'm very happy with it now.

Same price as ours...and I opted to pay for it too!!! Silly move.

Just shows what you can do with a bit of thought and some tweaking. What will you spend the saved £1500 on? Lol. Your rose shouts out that this is a happy garden.
