Hi Karen, yes you're right, it is a good year for Phormium, I have a variegated 1 which flowered 2 years ago, with 7 flower stems, this year it has 19, I was going to dig it out, as I did with a bronze 1, [which never flowered] but decided to leave it, and glad I did now, Derek.
