Lilac flowers emerging.. (Syringa josee)

My little syringa Josee, starting to bloom at last. Love the lilac mauve coloured flowers.

We've got one too. Taken it 4 years to do very much, but like yours doing well this year. It was on a warning last year so must have taken note!

I noted although it says dwarf, Dawn, it can grow taller than I thought. It’s in a position where I wouldn’t want it too big, but hey ho, will go with the flow..

You can cut it right back like I had done last year as long as you cut straight after flowering to keep it to the size you want. It will reflower the following year mine has.

Thanks Dawn, that’s good to know.
Wonder why you didn’t have as many blooms this year, Dd?

😊 I am wondering is it because of not getting cold enough last winter as my Dicentra has nt done well this year.
