Me, too. I have one in a pot but no idea where to put it! Glad yours is thriving, Amy.

I have one as well in the pot. This is my 3rd one. First I got for 5 years and then we got harsh winter one year and it died. the second died from neglect (I think)
Yours have much bigger and longer leaves than mine ....which I like.
Seems like you put it in a well protected corner. Should do well for you.

Thanks , I'm wondering if I did wrong taking it out of its pot and planting it out in the garden but as you say Klahanie it is in a protected corner I shall keep my fingers crossed maybe put a little protection round it in the winter ..

Amy, I do not think my died from coldness but rather from water of snow melting in the crown of it. It rotted inside. We got lots of snow that winter, which is very unusual as mostly we might get a skiff of snow which melts in a day. And......I did not protect it. I was so disappointed (in myself)

It is lovely Amy, such a vibrant green and that's a very attractive wall feature behind it..

Thanks for that tip Klahanie I'll be sure to protect it from water logging in the crown , don't blame yourself we can't be right all the time , Thanks Janey its a water feature when we remember to turn it on :o) x
