or Silk tassel bush for catkins lovers. This is still a young plant with limited number of catkins every year. Planted for winter interest.

Anget, Yes, they can get large. I do not necessarily like the plant during summer but it puts on a great show in winter ...that if one likes catkins. Most people grow them against a wall or fence.

Great plant Klahanie! We had one against a fence just outside the dining room window and the catkins looked wonderful with the lights on at night. Grown flat against the fence and hard pruned it didn't take up all that much space - push the boat out Amy!

I think that is what I would like to do Yorks, keep trimming them close to the wall. I wonder how easy they grow from cuttings. I took some cuttings earlier to see if I can get some going.

Can't help you there, I never tried. But it is very easy to train flat on a wall (with wires)
