Glad you kept it too!

We have had one for a few years now and I do like it a lot. I like to cut a few pieces to put in a vase with some daffodils.

Just the thing to cheer up grey days.

Chris, I've never thought of cutting some for indoors before, good idea!

Thanks Ange and Kate . . . I do love some yellow flowers in Springtime.

In case you missed my previous comment, you can cut Forsythia as early as late Feb and it will open in the house well before t in the garden.

Thjanks Sbg, Sue and Paul. I was told by next doors 'Tree man' that Forsythia was an old fashioned shrub, to which I said . . . call me old-fashioned then!!

You could make a long list of "old fashioned " plants and without them we would all be much poorer...

Hi Shirley - well fish and chips are old fashioned but they'll be enjoyed forever. I was told by someone once I shouldn't plant most what I was planting , okay I said lol

Sue, that is certainly true. Hydrangeas come to mind as they are still in a lot of gardens around here, despite being deemed 'fuddy-duddy' by some gardeners and designers. I have a couple of the Lacecap type and love them!

That made me smile Paul - o))
