Very similar to welsh poppies Klahanie. Lovely colour.

They are lovely but I think they are Welsh poppies too going by the leaf. Used to be called Meconopsis cambrica but have been renamed Papaver cambrica.

I have the orange ones and would love some yellow ones. A friend is going to swap seed with me so hopefully next year.....

They are lovely Sheila and they self seed so I have plenty of them in this area every year. Thanks for liking.

They bloom here for couple of weeks now Amy. Are yours yellow too?.

Thorneyside, thank you for pointing it out. We just generally calling them California poppies.

I will correct that SBG . I have only yellow. Do not know where they came from I did not plant them. Orange ones are pretty too.
